Planning permission in principle for development at Fairmilehead Water Treatment Works

Planning permission in principle was granted on 8 June 2011 for development of up to 300 houses, in accordance with the Local Plan allocation. Scottish Water will now undertake an exercise to identify a suitable development partner.
The next stage will then be to prepare and submit a detailed scheme with plans showing access design, housing layout, house types and landscaping. It is expected to take 9 months – 1 year to select a development partner and then to produce a detailed scheme.
