Household Charges 2010/11

Your combined water services charges for 2010/11, detailed on your Council Tax bill, will be frozen.

This freeze, which will come into effect on 1st April 2010, follows four years running that we have kept charges for our household customers flat (below the RPI rate of inflation). As a result, the charge for the average household bill in Scotland (around £324) will continue to be lower than the average household bill in England and Wales.

This will mean that the average household* will still pay less than £1 a day for the water services you receive; including delivering all the clear, fresh drinking water you receive to the taps in the heart of your home, and removing all the waste water from your home which is treated and then returned safely to the environment.

* The average household is between Council Tax Band B and Band C and has a combined bill of less than £1 a day. Individual water supply and waste water collection charges are less than £1 a day for all households (except for individual water supply and waste water collection charges for Band H households).
