Publication Scheme

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act came into force on 1st January 2005 and ensures that any person requesting information from a public body will receive it.

The Act requires Scottish public authorities, including Scottish Water, to adopt and maintain a Publications Scheme in which the types of information that will be made available to the public are listed.

Scottish Water has created its Publications Scheme to make it as easy as possible for members of the public to get access to information held by us. This document has been approved by the Information Commissioner for Scotland.

Click the link on the right hand side of this page to access our 'FOI Publications Scheme Document' (this is a list of all the documents that are available).

Alternatively you can search on the information contained in our Publications Scheme by clicking on the 'FOI Search' on the left of this page.

You can also request additional information by using the FOI Request Form on the left of this page.

You will also find links to the publication schemes relating  to companies wholly owned by Scottish Water on the right hand side of this page.
